A significant step in boosting Monero's cryptographic security has been achieved, as a recent audit conducted by Trail of Bits has found no severe vulnerabilities in the upcoming FCMP++ upgrade. This initiative, commissioned by MAGIC Grants, promises enhanced privacy for transactions.

The audit concluded with six informational findings, with zero high, medium, or low-severity issues reported. Five findings were resolved, while one remained partially resolved regarding fragile memory layout assumptions in a Rust FFI function. Although compile-time static assertions were added to protect the interface, Trail of Bits noted that it still remains fragile.
